Hogwarts Rules

The following are the rules set out on the Fifth of October 2008;

- No excessive swearing

Excessive swearing means repeatedly using degrading, insulting or offensive language, due to the majority of our members being teenagers we feel the need to allow some swearing, but like all things there needs to be some moderation, therefore pelase try to keep it to a minimum.

- No self-promotion

Please do not attempt to claim to be a higher rank then you are, all of our memebrs work hard to get where they are so please do not attempt to skip forward a few years, if you're a student and think you deserve a promotion then check out the student promotions forum.

- Be respectful of new members

Each and every one of us has been new to a roleplay or situation before, so we ask that you please be courteous and kind to our new members, perhaps even now and again offer to help them.

Also to those of you saying you should treat new players bad because you where treated bad, two wrongs never make a right, now go steal a cookie you evil person, .

- The roleplay rules

This roleplay like all roleplays has rules set out in order to try and put up some loose boundaries in order to help channel and guide your creative roleplay, we politely ask that you listen to these rules and put them into practice.

- Be kind and understanding of all other members

We at Hogwarts understand that life has conflict in it, but we ask that you try to keep your conflicts entirely IC and try not to let your emotions spill over to your OOC selves, don't forget after all this is only a game.

-Do not use character names from the book, non of the main characters first and sirnames, but you can use the last name only, you can also say your related to a main character, but not Harry Potter, Hermione Granger or Ron Weasly
Be creative and make up your own family and character name, and post them in the character genealogy section. (Remember this Hogwarts is set 20 years after the final battle at Hogwarts)
