Part One; The Unforgivables

You need to be a fifth year to cast Imperio or Crucio.

You need to be a sixth year to cast Avada Kedavra

Imperio lasts for twenty-four hours, after that it has to be cast upon the target again

Crucio stops the victim from being able to use magic for a varying amount of time, depending on the magical ability of the caster.

Avada Kedavra needs a minimum of five lines after the spell is said to be used successfully

Crucio can be used to torture the target to the point of their mind breaking, this takes seven lines after the spell is cast.

You need to be a fifth year or higher to be able to have the magical ability and mental strength to cast the Imperius or Cruciatus curse. To cast the killing curse you need even more magical ability and mental strength, therefore only those of sixth year and higher are able to do it.

After you cast Imperio it will last for twenty-four hours, this means that the person you cast it upon must do as you say for exactly twenty-four hours, if you renew the spell by casting it again upon them the time will reset and it will be in effect for another twenty-four hours.

Crucio is a spell sued to torture the target to the point of extreme pain, this torture can lead to the victim being unable to perform magic for a perdio of time, listed below is how long the spell effects the victim for.

If the caster is a:

Fifth Year: Two Minutes
Sixth Year: Three Minutes
Seventh Year: Four Minutes
Adult: Five Minutes

To successfully cast Avada Kedavra you need to roleplay five lines after saying the spell, doing this will kill the target that the spell is cast upon.

Below is an example of how to roleplay this;

*aims at you now*
Avada Kedavra
*the spell comes out of my wand*
*a green light flies form the tip of my wand*
*it flies down towards you now*
*it heads for your chest now*
*it hits your chest hard now*

Crucio can be used in an even more sinister way, it can be used to torture the target to insanity, thus forever rendering that roleplay character useless, this means that the victim must then get themselves a new roleplay character.

Below is an example of how to roleplay this;

*aims at you now*
Crucio
*it hits you hard there now*
*sends it coursing through you now*
*it starts to hurt you badly*
*it starts to tear at your mind there now*
*ripping into your mind*
*it makes you relive your very worst memories*
*you go insane from the experience*

Roleplay Rules;; Dark Magic Empty Part Two; Inferi

Post  Brendan Mon Oct 27, 2008 8:56 am

Part Two; Inferi

In order to conjure up an Inferi you must be a sixth year or higher to have the magical ability and mental capability to animate the corpse.

Inferi are animates corpses, they work like robots, having no emotions, feeling no pain, they however understand the damage that fire can have upon them and thus because of this avoid comign into contact with it.

There are two ways of creating inferi;

Imperium mortes;

This spell allows the creation of Inferi from dead bodies, this means that the user can create an army of walking corpses, they however are not able to speak or even think for themselves, making them like puppets under the control of the user.

Imperium monumentum;

This spell allows the user to use the memories of a dead person in order to make inferiā€™s they are exactly the same as normal inferi, it just means the caster does not need a fresh body to hand in order to create inferi.

For the second of these two you need the memories of the person at hand with you, below is the spell needed to take the memories from a dead person.

Educo monumentum;

This incantation allows the user to take a memory from their own mind in order to store said memory, it can also be used to take memories from a dying person.

Roleplay Rules;; Dark Magic Empty Part Three; Horcruxes

Post  Brendan Mon Oct 27, 2008 9:14 am

Part Three; Horcruxes

You need to be a sixth year or higher to have the magical ability and mental capability to create a horcrux

You may only have up to six horcruxes at any given time, not including the part of your soul still inside you.

Horcruxes can only be destroyed by, dark magic, unbreakable items or by using an incurable poison.

You must have an item or creature to store the portion of your soul in.

In order to split your soul to allow you to live longer you must have been granted the ability by the Senior Staff, this is to stop everybody having the ability to make Horcruxes.

The spell to create a Horcrux is Animus Scindo, it's a complex spell and this means that in order to create the horcrux it will take tou twenty lines after casting the spell, before casting the spell though you must have successfully killed someone.

The whole process can be seen below;

*aims down at you now*
Avada Kedavra
*the spell comes from my wand now*
*comes out as a green bolt now*
*it leaves the end of my wand now*
*it flies towards the target now*
*hitting them hard now*

After that you would then roleplay creating the Horcrux,

*aims down at my chest there now*
Animus Scindo
*sends the spell down at myself now*
*it takes hold of me there now*
*it starts to rip part of my soul out now*
*my soul starts to shimmer in front of my chest*
*it clings to the end of my wand now*
*draws my wand over to the other hand now*
*holding the hairbrush in my hand there now*
*sends the soul into the hairbrush now*
*it begins to seep into it now*
*sends it further into it there now*
*causes it to bind to the very essence of the hairbrush*
*binding it hard with the hairbrush*
*slowly severing the connection with myself*
*rips the part of soul from myself*
*stores it in the hairbrush*
*causing it to overheat as I store the part of my soul in it*
*slowly draws my wand away from the hairbrush*
*my soul severs connection with my wand*
*it is now stored within the hairbrush*

About the cruciatus curse:

In the books it only seems to describe the spell to cast pain upon the victom for a matter or maybe 5-15 seconds. Though, the effects of the pain still stay in effect for a few minutes. I can't tell when you state the period of time whether you are speaking about the time the actual pain is being cast upon the victim or the amound of time the victum can still feel the aftermath of the pain. Hope that makes sense, if it doesn't I can try to explain it better.

Just clearin' things up. Wink
